Recent work is driven by the ephemeral nature of the landscape. Its form is constantly hidden and revealed in indeterminate fashion, a constant process of growth and decay. Nigel Hoyle graduated from Bretton Hall College in 1992 with a BA Honours Degree in Fine Art and has continued to develop work alongside a career in teaching.

In 1995, " A Place in Time " made history as the first contemporary one man ceramics show at Bury Town Art Gallery.

He has exhibited at Booth House Gallery, and has been  an invited artist at the Holmfirth Art Week for nearly 20 years.  More recently he has exhibited at Holmfirth Arts Market and Art& show, York.

The studio has been up and running for a little over a year now and we exhibited in 7 shows last year. This year already looks really exciting with a place at Pots in the Pens (Potfest) 3 - 5 August. Nigel is working with a local organisation to put on a unique Art Experience here in Shepley which will utilise both indoor and outdoor spaces to bring and sell art to the local people. Watch this space!
